Rebuilt SSP 100 Machine Plasser




  The Plasser Ballast Regulator SSP 100 is a heavy duty, ballast regulating and dressing machine. The SSP 100 is specially designed and constructed for the stringent requirements of high density, high tonnage railways.

The machine is equipped with a fully adjustable x-type ballast plow, and unique shoulder plows that allows the SSP 100 to quickly and efficiently move larger amounts of ballast than conventional ballast regulators. The ballast broom conveyor allows excess ballast to be distributed directly to either or both shoulders.

  The built was in 1993 (Plasser&Theurer).

- Front and rear end of the frame are equipped with a buffer bar for mounting buffers and draw hook;
- Central cabin with all controls for working and transfer of the machine;
- Centre plough split into two parts with hydraulic lifting and lowing device;
- Shoulder ploughs with hydraulic control for lifting/lowing and regulation;
- Sweeper device for sleepers plane with reversible lateral conveyor belt and additional reserve brush;
- Brushes for connection/joining organs;
- Acoustic insulation of the cabin;
- Cabin heater with warm air installation type Webasto.

Brakes: Pneumatic block brakes, type UIC, acting on all 4 wheels. The brake respects the prescriptions for rule/standard vehicles (direct and indirect acting pneumatic brakes). Parking brake is developed as fixing/immobilization brake, through disk brakes it applies mechanically on two wheels of one axle.
